BN42 takes Brighton as its post town, yet is located entirely within Adur, which is in West Sussex. This causes confusion for courier services rather than ourselves. Please write the postcode carefully so that the package will behave accordingly.
We are a tenant on the port estate with one NAS. What do we send?
We ask that you get a quotation first via either our form online, or by telephone. We require either all of the disks, each marked with its bay number (if you can take them out), or otherwise the entire device, because a Network Attached Storage (NAS) may be posted in its entirety. A server or RAID set can only be sent as individual disks. Unfortunately, we do not accept phones or tablets.
The weighbridge PC will not start. Is that recoverable?
Yes normally, unless someone has already attempted to repair the file system. Please leave the device turned off, and obtain a quote first either over the telephone, or using the form. Then please send us the drive rather than the entire computer it resides in: please track and insure the package if you post it, or drop it off personally at our Guildford intake laboratory, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (no appointment needed). It will be imaged using DeepSpar equipment before we attempt to read it.
How soon do we know where we stand?
There is no cost for diagnostics and we advise you whether or not we are able to retrieve your files. A single fixed written price quote is provided after we complete all diagnostics. Prices vary depending upon which item(s) you have: memory cards/sticks begin at £250; one hard drive is £300; recorders are £400; and prices begin at £500 for a multi-disk recovery. Add VAT to each price.
