Worth knowing: the 2023 SanDisk Extreme and Extreme Pro portable SSD failures led to a US class action against Western Digital, which then owned SanDisk — the larger capacities especially, though the claim covered the range — and the firmware updates issued did not cure the underlying fault. If yours is misbehaving, image it early.
